This class focuses on hip flexibility with Ankle to Knee, Hand to Big Toe, Sleeping Yogi and Standing Split, plus some fun, flowing transitions you won’t want to miss.
“Hipsters” love ‘em or hate ‘em, are known for their youthfulness, and for being up on the newest trends. Personally, I’ve never been interested in trends. I’ve always preferred to start the next trend, rather than follow the current one.
Of course, claims to authenticity and uniqueness is another trait of a Hipster. So, even though I’m a little too old to be labeled as a Hipster, perhaps I am one, after all. Let’s see… live in Brooklyn? Check. Thick-rimmed glasses? Check. Graduated from a liberal arts college? Check. … Uh, oh.
Well, this week, I’m going to bravely embrace the term “Hipster” not through my clothes or my politics, but through the aerial yoga sequence of the week.
We’ll focus especially on hip flexibility with Ankle to Knee, Hand to Big Toe, Sleeping Yogi and Standing Split, plus some fun, flowing transitions you won’t want to miss. Of course we’re not only going to practice hip flexibility positions! We’ll balance out the class with backbends, inversions, etc. And, I’ll put a unique touch to familiar positions because every day we practice is a unique moment in time.
Join me! Don some retro thrift store clothing you only wear ironically, meet me at your hammock, and embrace your inner Hipster.
